hello! here's a NICE BIO POST as to why wei qing has a fever.

let's use...photosynthesis! because i must revise photosynthesis for next week's bio test. :D

haha you know. deep deep down in the not-so-dark recesses of a little LEAF there is such a thing as a ... chloroplast!! and inside the chloroplast there are lots of stacks of, um, you know what, i forgot what they are called. hm. (you see that's why i need to revise). ah yes. the stack is called a granum (i think) and the stuff that the stack is made of are called thylakoids! and inside the thylakoids are...chlorophyll!! well okay you know all this already.

never mind. i shall cut being lorsor. i think i'm being overly influenced by wei qing. oh NO. anyway. inside the thylakoid there are light harvesting complexes! and these light harvesting complexes have...chlorophyll!! and you know how the light energy is used? the photons from the light are bounced around the chlorophyll until they reach the chlorophyll molecule that is right at the bottom of the light harvesting complex (which is funnel-shaped) and...the photon causes an ELECTRON in the chlorophyll molecule to get EXCITED and then it will bounce out of the light harvesting complex!

so you see! that's why wei qing has a fever! because she got so excited from the photons in the light that she became feverish (which means "excited, restless, or uncontrolled, as if from fever." according to dictionary.com). haha. and you know where the light comes from? KESHIE COS KESHIE IS A STAR AND THUS EMITS LIGHT :D see keshie rules yeah XD so wei qing, are you enLIGHTened as to why you have a fever now? =)

haha ok. BIO ROCKS :D

This is what MYAs do to us!

boo!

ok its the start of the MYAs n all tt so heres an interesting story abt WEIQING the ELECTRON n now, the ROCK/GRAIN. i wanted to just paste the whole msn convo here but i decided to be nice n write the story in paragraphs. n i my msg hist cleared itself. so, sorry for the terrible grammar n sentence structures n vocab n etc. n i hope i rmb the whole story right, even though i was the one who came up w it, my mind's too much in geog. i'm sure weiqing can correct all my grammar aft tt, so she can get back at me for correcting her english...

ok it all started off w weiqing getting a fever. super random, seeing how she was perfectly well today in sch HITTING PPL AGAINST WALLS. but anw, so she told me she had a fever n so i linked it to her being an electron! abt the plasma state n so since shzehui n celeste made her high n excited aft sch, she needed to satisfy the high temperature part so must get fever. then she said tt shzehui said tt too. so i decided tt i had to be different fr shzehui! so, i used GEOG rather than chem! n along the way, MATH came in, n according to weiqing, LIT too. the lit part was unintentional, n i didnt really think it was very lit, but i removed it anw, cos lit sucks. even weiqing the electron said 'Gosh mugging lit is so boring.' [ok weiqing is gg to scold me again for not quoting the full context (which is a major sin in hist) but its fine, cos chem taught me abt limiting reagents so i'll take the rest as excess. (:]

so the story starts when we imagine weiqing as a rock rather than an electron. get rid of the chem stuff. so shes a rock undergrnd. n aft the chem paper, suddenly all the weight above her was removed, so RELEASE OF PRESSURE occurred! hence, weiqing the rock was exposed! so since IT was exposed, the rock was susceptible to INSOLATION. tts why weiqing the rock faced a rise in temp n got heated up in the day, causing the FEVER n expansion! so i said tt weiqing shld measure her height, prob grew taller. but by night, which means arnd now, weiqing the rock will contract again, so this is actl a better time to measure her height.

then the math came in. i asked weiqing the rock to pick one, two or three, which she picked two.

ok since weiqing the rock picked two, it went thru GRANULAR DISINTEGRATION! but it would be aft a few days, like bef hist paper or smthg, when the STRESS in the joints can so great tt weiqing the rock disintegrates. then, weiqing the rock became, weiqing the GRAIN! [see now weiqing the grain is smaller than the stitch n the bug n the duck!]

but anw, weiqing the grain was situated above a cave, n unluckily, the overhanging rock of the cave collapsed. so, weiqing the grain was now part of the WAVE-CUT PLATFORM. n then the longshore drift came n deposited weiqing the grain along a beach! this is where the story had two endings.

ENDING ONE:
a little child like celestewee came to pick up weiqing the grain to admire it. [this is additional i just thought of: when compared to keshie the star, weiqing the grain was so small...] but weiqing the grain didnt like this ending, so i decided to change it to a stitch came to pick up weiqing the grain!

BUT WEIQING THE GRAIN STILL DIDNT LIKE ENDING ONE! so came ending two, which involved a bug, as weiqing the grain suggested.

ENDING TWO:
a bug came to pick up weiqing the grain n carried her to her home undergrnd in Hawaii. then the VOLCANO ERUPTED, extending the coastline! so when the bug came out of the hole, she lost her sense of direction as there seemed to be new land! so the bug asked weiqing the grain for help, n of course, weiqing the grain couldnt help the bug.
- then again, weiqing the grain didnt like this ending.-
so thinking tt she didnt like Hawaii, the bug brought her to indonesia instead! n when the TIDAL WAVES came to erode the coast, the bug n weiqing the grain got washed into the sea. :(

so tts the end of the story. since weiqing the grain-rock-electron asked me to post this. i did. now someone can correct the grammar! (:

hope this helps destress n rmb some geog stuff! n weiqing! u r supposed to finish ur lit one! so far u only had a few lines of geog stuff w INCORRECT FACTS!

(: julie

hello this blog is so dead :(

but don't worry, CELESTE SAVES THE DAY WHOOOO!!

anyway, look at this:

PINK DOG TOY helps in breast cancer research!

like, really wow!! you see how useful pink stuffed toy dogs are to the advancement of medical science!? and see how they help to save many lives from the evil clutches of cancer!!

and who is the cutest, nicest pink stuffed toy dog that you know of?

*drumroll please*

KESHIE THE STAR OF 213 '07!!

even though swetha is so far far far away in the land of chocolate pizzas, she is still mean to keshie! :(

i also noticed that when you sign your name at the end of an email, keshie is in capital letters. As keshie is not human and does not have feelings like sophisticated homosapiens, it is therefore inferior to humans, which means that celeste is more important than keshie! and theefore, keshie should not be in caps and should in a smaller font size than celeste! haha im still a strong supporter of anti-keshie club with wq even if im far away! (: haha

so mean! keshie feels so hurt now!

wei qing, i guess you don't feel so lonely now huh XD

anw, swetha i want a chocolate pizza for my birthday XP maybe you can mail it over or something. as long as the postman doesn't eat it. LOL.

yay enjoy your hols everyone! :D

(i think you can guess who wrote this)

live blog live!!

Yay!! Okay amendments to the Keshie Day Rule:

From now on every day is a Keshie Day!! (1 day anniversary of Keshie's birthday mah). And Saturday will be a Super Special Keshie Day!

This blog is really very dead eh. Haha. We ought to have a KFC outing at...at...at...the end of term or something! haha! Or after SLI, only bio people have to go watch Sharkwater :( We can still go out for lunch though :)

So anyway Keshie the STAR wishes everyone a happy valentine's day :D

Oh yeah I dunno about you guys, but during English yesterday, we read an exposition essay about inanimate objects trying to defeat man. :D And the essay also talked about how inanimate objects either get lost, break down, or don't work in their effort to defeat man. Since Keshie doesn't get lost, cannot break down, and obviously doesn't not work, that proves that she is not an inanimate object!! There you go Tan Wei Qing. Exposition essay has failed you.

:D

Here is the essay:

The Plot Against the People by Russell Baker

Inanimate objects are classified scientifically into three major categories: those that break down, those that get lost, and those that don't work.

The goal of all inanimate objects is to resist man and ultimately to defeat him, and the three major classifications are based on the method each object uses to achieve its purpose. As a general rule, any object capable of breaking down at the moment when it is most needed will do so. The automobile is typical of the category.

With the cunning peculiar to its breed, the automobile never breaks down while entering a filling station which has a large staff or idle mechanics. It waits until it reaches a downtown intersection in the middle of the rush hour, or until it is fully loaded with family and luggage on the OhioTurnpike. Thus it creates maximum inconvenience, frustration and irritability, thereby reducing its owner's life-span.

Washing machines, garbage disposals, lawn mowers, furnances, TV sets, tape recorders, slide projectors- all are in league with the automobile to take their turn at breaking down whenever life threatens to flow smoothly for their enemies.

Many inanimate objects, of course, find it extremely difficult to break down. Pliers, for example, and gloves and keys are almost totally incapable of breaking down. Therefore, they have had to evolve a different technique for resisting man.

They get lost. Science has still not solved the mystery of how they do it, and no man has ever caught one of them in the act. The most plausible theory is that they are able to conceal from human eyes.

It is not uncommon for a pair of pliers to climb all the way from the cellar to the attic in its single-minded determination to raise its owner's blood pressure. Keys have been known to burrow three feet under mattresses. Women's purses, despite their great weight, frequently travel through six or seven rooms to find hiding space under a couch.

Scientists have been struck by the fact that things that break down virtually never get lost, while things that get lost hardly ever break down. A furnace, for example, will invariably break down at the depth of the first winter cold wave, but it will never get lost. A woman's purse hardly ever breaks down; it almost invariably chooses to get lost.

Some persons believe this constitutes evidence that inanimate objects are not entirely hostile to man. After all, they point out, a furnace could infuriate a man even more thoroughly by getting lost than by breaking down, just as a glove could upset him far more by breaking down than by getting lost.

Not everyone agrees, however, that this indicates a conciliatory attitude. Many say it merely proves that furnaces, gloves and pliers are incredibly stupid.

The third class of objects- those that don't work- is the most curious of all. These include such objects as barometers, car clocks, cigarette lighters, flashlights and toy-train locomotives. It is inaccurate, of course, to say that they never work. They work once, usually for the first few hours after being brought home, and then quit. Thereafter, they never work again.

In fact, it is widely assumed that they are built for the purpose of not working. Some people have reached advanced ages without ever seeing some of these objects - barometers, for example- in working order.

Science is utterly baffled by the entire category. There are many theories about it. The most interesting holds that the things that don't work have attained the highest state possible for an inanimate object, the state to which things that break down and things that get lost can only aspire.

They have truly defeated man by conditioning him to never expect anything of them. When his cigarette lighter won't light or his flashlight fails to illuminate, it does not raise his blood pressure. Objects that don't work have given man the only peace he receives from inanimate society.
